I am going to be buying an Exmark in a couple of weeks. It is my 2nd year in business. I do alot of landscaping and mow around 15 yards right now. Hopefully i will pick up some more yards! They are all residentials except for one dentist office. I am trying to keep my overhead as low as possible this year. I bought alot of stuff last year, and currently just have a 48" Ferris hydro walkbehind. Anyways, i went to my Exmark dealer today and demoed some 08' Lazer Z's, and a Next Lazer AS. I liked them both. And my question is, wich mower is the best bang for the buck?
-08 Lazer Z DEMO with 99hrs on it 60" deck w/ 27hp Kohler for $8500
-A New 08 Lazer Z w/ 27hp Kohler and 60" deck for $9250
-The 09 Next Lazer AS 60" deck w/ 27 kohler $9299 after rebate
or
- 09 Next Lazer Z 60" deck w/ 29hp Kawi for $10999

so what do you guys think i should do? I got alot of choices here and need some good lawnsite input!! Thanks guys!!

If your wanting to keep your overhead low I would suggest the demo unit for $8500.

go with the 08 Lazer Z w/ 27hp Kohler and 60" deck because the Next Lazer Z might have some issues because its there first year out

Ben,
I am not a financial wizard by any means , I look at the price of the demo unit at $8500.00 with 99 hours of who nows what happened in those hours. Then look at a brand new 08 same machine for an additional $750.00. Are those unknown 99 hours worth $7.50/hr ?
I would lean in the direction of the new 08. In my experience of buying equipment ,toys,vehicles.. if you can swing it brand new is the way to go.
Good luck

If your going to mulch, go with the 29hp Kawi. The advantage series is a little cheaper but its a series 4 deck and there is no suspension seating( suspension kit can be installed on an AS for $500-$600). If you
go with the 08 model watch out for the triton deck, and you wont be getting the design changes in the NextLZZ( for better or for worse ). If your looking to save money you might want to look into other Brands.

I say keep what you have. Use it while you look for a better deal in the used market.
Unfortunately many people over extended themselves last year and will have to sell off to survive and/or liquidate entirely. Keep your powder dry and your eyes open for a deal.
And if I am correct even the dealers will be dropping there prices due to factory overstock issues.

I would also suggest keeping what you have for 1 more year, save your money and buy new next year
