Single level homes are to me the most proficient markets for gutter cleaning. We clean mostly single level homes at best. The ones with unlevel ground will cause issues! We have latters with adjustable leg supports.
Multilevel homes require more work. We use machine harness's to navigate around the roof tops and usually rig up to nearby trees or any type of strong supportive structure. That is usine tree climbers ropes and knot's
Single level homes are charged by the job!!!
Multilevel homes are charged by the foot of guttering and both types of houses are charged for debris removal if necessary, and blowing off of the material or tarping.
Any time we leave the ground, we consider our liability insurance is pressured. Just like cutting trees down. It will cost the customer if we leave the ground more than 8 feet.

I apologize for double posting. I was detained and hit the reply button by accident.
Most times we don't do maintenance cleaning. We aquire gutters from customers that wait until once a year to clean. You know--"The ones with polk flower and tomato bush's growing inside their gutters." Once they are this bad, we charge by the foot.
I can't put a dollar amount on here for you, because we base the cost on different factors as stated above. Try to determine how long one man can clean 10 feet of normal guttering and figure your hourly rate from there. You can average out a cost per foot or per hour. Remember your cleanup, tools, insurance and service call rate.
