Doing some spring cleaning and I have accumulated countless wips, edgers and blowers that don't work anymore over the last 9 years. I have parted everything out that I could. Thought I'd throw in a picture of a dixie chopper since it is pretty much junk too.

I heard that every 3 or so years the brickmen rents a dumpster and pitches out all of there hand helds.

Thats a lot of stuff to be pitching, i would put like $10 each on craigslist or just $200 for all the HH's.

Every engine is completely shot. The only things really worth saving are the shafts and the rods inside, which I still may keep. This stuff has been sit'n around for so long that I just want to get rid of it. Alot of this stuff is broke because of past employees that just don't give a crap. Sucks.

I'm constantly having hydrolic problems with it. The pumps and hoses are always leaking. Same goes for my other two dixies. Its seems like the pumps start going bad after 1 season.

Well, if it runs and you're just going to throw it out, I'll take it lol (and sell it)!

that what a lot of the people around here say about them they just don't seem to take the abuse like other mowers

with the labor rates at engine repair shops it's cheaper these days to just buy something new instead of fixing it (wasteful I know). I was at my dealer last summer and he was just filling a 20 yard dumpster with bucket loads (big john deere) and bucket loads of old push mowers and hand helds.

None of the backpack blowers work, the engines are seized up. Thats why I'm throwing them out. As far as the Dixie Chopper, I'm keeping it. I wasn't planning on getting rid of it, I just don't like it that much.

Someone on the site posted an add in the marketplace forum looking for broken handhelds. He was willing to pay for them...just a heads up.
