"It makes me think twice before buying a used mower!"

Isn't that the truth!

I had someone tell me once that "I'm surrounded by jerks and idiots," isn't that the truth too! I think I'll switch my quote thing at the bottom to say that.

I'm speechless.

Reminds me of a story my grandfather told. He used to work for a big retailer that has a real tall tower in Chicago. Anyhow he said this company got sued by two bozo's who tried to trim a hedge with a push mower. It obviously failed and both numb skulls were seriously injured. Apparently thereafter the push mower industry could only sell mowers with some type of blade brake or engagement system. I used to think it was a phony story....but after I saw these intellectuals hard at work... I don't know. :dizzy:

Let me guess,,, they wanted to get on Leno? Looks like a branch stalled the mower deck and the engine started to burn up the belt going to the deck at the very end. Nobody wearing googles in case of flying branches. They "DO" make boom mounted mowers that you can attach to 50+hp tractors. Someone should email that video to all the ZTR companies so they add another paragraph to their "don't do this with your ZTR" in the owners manual.
About 10 years ago I saw a page where some lazy stupid guy made a fragile metal frame on wheels with a push mower on top of the frame. And you guessed it, he was trimming the tops of hedges with this bolted together piece of stupidity.

but it appears this situation will soon equalize, as is usually the case.

I dont own a ZTR but I would expect that when the machine is in park, you could not turn on the blades. For it looked to me that the machine was in park. Is it even possible to do that without messing with the mower? Anyways I hope this wasn't a promotional video for it wasn't very promotional!

It's pretty easy to mess with the electronics on a mower, a jumper here, unplug a couple of things and walla.. I don't think they were promoting anything except stupidity and dumbness.

OMG at first I couldnt figure out what was going on and thought they were fishing the mower out of the lake......and then realized what they were actually doing.

I like how they tried to cut 3 in diameter small branches by dropping the mower on them....a stroke of genius.I also like how their method was pretty much completely un effective and then they drop the mower in the drink to top it off.

Too funny.

It would be much appreciated if you guys could not use ******ed/****** as a synonym for stupid. There are many of us who know, or have family members, who face intellectual challenges. I'm sure the hurt of hearing someone say that word as an insult must be huge. It's up to us to disallow ourselves from using this word and to encourage ourselves to ask the same of our friends. I know it seems like political correctness seems to rule our speech. But this is less about being p.c. and more about being mindful of those around us. If people and family members of those with disabilities, as well as the people with the disabilities themselves are saying they really dislike the word - then obviously there's something wrong with it. There are so many words in our dictionaries - surely we can use one less hurtful.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
