Went and got a used ridding tractor, a weed eater/Edger, and a blowers and printed up 3000 flyers off my work computer (shhhhh )

I put out 500 over the weekend and so far have 4 customers and one I have to do a leaf estimate on. Plans are for 30 to 40 contract customers or less if I can get some estate work. I dont plan on making a million this season, I just want my equipment to hold out so I can get a nice ZTR and commercial grade hand stuff for next season. Grass here seems to grow from March to Late Oct. SO i hope to be good.. I have been told I am cutting my self short on the price.. I charge 25 to mow edge weed eat and blow on a contract, 30 if it is on a as needed basis. I am usual;y in and out in under 30 min so for starting off I dont think its to bad..Once I get the ZTR I am sure I can cut that in half.

This site has helped me a good bit just wanted to say thanks to the folks who are established and willing to help out.

Oh and I do have insurance.

Start at what ever you can make money at. I think the residential equipment will last you at-least a year.. good luck

Low balling? lawns are less then 1/8 of a acre, all flat, no fences. Timmed my self to cut weed eat, edge and blow it took me 23 min from unload and reload. and that was filling my machines once I was at the home owners house. So i figure 18 min tops of actual work time.

So lets do a little math, 18 will go into 60 3.3 times thats over 75 A HOUR.

not bad for a "low baller"

and needs a little undocumented income to get by. There's alot of men that make 6 figures but after alimony and child support payments they are lucky if they can afford a ratty car to drive and rent a room somewhere much less an apartment.:(

My own divorce was over 12 years ago, pretty painless, (old history) and I actually still get along with my ex and didn't't get raked over the coals for support. I got custody of my son when he was 12 and for a while I was getting support from her- now there's a switch! LOL

But I have a brother and know of other guys that make great money & went thru nasty divorces and pay a fortune in support payments and have next to nothing to live on. Practically live like bums but you would never know they make great money in their careers. :dizzy:

Kinda silly to post that you are cheating the county by using their equipment to run a business.......that can be grounds for dismissal.

I don't care what education you have or what kind of job you have.

If you can cut grass, make money and enjoy it all at the same time..GOOD FOR YOU! Good luck, I hope it all goes well!
