I used the Echo BRD-280 Bed Re-definer today and was really impressed by how much time it saved. The job normally would take (with a spade plus clean up) about 2 hrs. Big $$$ Now that the job has taken me much less time how do you make any money using this tool? or do you still charge per foot like the other way?

I would still charge by the foot. This way, hopefully you will be able to recop your investment within 1 year.

I normally charge $1.25 per ft. but, that seems like highway robbery when there is really nothing more than just walking backwards, the clean up is nothing more than maybe using your blower to blower to get the excess dirt off the sidewalk. The Echo BRD-280 Bed Re-definer here cost $649.00.

I have both the curved and the straight shaft...I prefer the straight for heavy edging and the curved is fine for light work. I was hoping they would come up with a product similar to the Echo bed redefiner.
