Gravely Pro-1536H mower for sale. $2100. This is a 36" hydro walkbehind mower. It has the ProSteer controls. 15 HP Kawasaki engine. It has 488 hours on the meter. This mower is in good shape and runs fine.

Dave

PS I would prefer local pickup (46530) but I would be willing to ship if buyer pays all the crating and shipping cost. I might even be willing to drive a little for a fee.

O.K, thanx for the reply, I am just getting started and I am determined to not go in debt as I know the economy is bad and this is not the best year to start, I will be using cash or bartering to get good equipment, thanx anyway, that is a nice mower!

That's a nice mower. I can't go that high yet, maybe later in the season. By the way, what are those dark/wet spots on the gas tank?

davidcalhoun
03-30-2009, 12:13 PM
Dark/wet spots on tank. I see what you are talking about once I see it in the pics. I have never really noticed it before. It is not one of the things that stick out in person. At first I thought maybe the rain (see driveway) had something to to with it. But no, I just went out to the shop to check and they are still there.

There is no hole in the gas tank. It just appears to be an area that held up to the sun better. If that is not it, then I really do not know.

chuacro,

Even half way to Memphis is too long of trip for me at this time of year. Thanks anyway.

I finally figured out what the "wet" looking spots are on the tank. I checked the oil in it yesterday and when I pulled the dip stick out, I noticed that I had touched the dip stick to the tank as I pulled it out. Mystery solved and a big "Duh" on my part.

chuacro, I talked with a buddy that might be making a trip down to Nashville, TN in the next two or three weeks. If you are still interested, I would take $2000 and you pick it up in Nashville. Let me know.

Hello,

I'm interested in this mower as well! I'm a quick skip across a pond in Ontario, Canada. I would be willing to pick up from Niagara falls, Canada inside our border if that works for you.

Let me know your thoughts? Have you had much work done on her? She still cuts and runs good with 400 hours on it?

davidcalhoun
04-27-2009, 09:14 PM
iLANDSCAPING, this sounds a little outside my comfort level. I have no idea what is involved in taking something accross the border to Canada and selling it there. Sounds like there might be too much red tape for me. All that on top of the cost for me to deliver to Niagara Falls.

The mower is in very good shape. and everything runs good. Hydros and engine are strong. Gravely builds one heavy commercial mower.

Does it fit thru 36" gates?

davidcalhoun
04-28-2009, 12:25 AM
This mower is 37 7/8" wide at its widest point.

You will need to measure between your fence post that hold the 36" gate to be absolutely sure.

I have a question. What is the range of cut of height for this mower?
If the cut is right and he will come to Jackson, TN I will buy it.
Thanks, Terry

chuacro,

The mower is set to mow from 1" to 4" in 1/2" increments. And it's accurate.

Nashville, TN (212 miles from Memphis) is the best I can do since I will be imposing on a buddy. That is still way better for you than having to meet me halfway (600 miles divided by 2 = 300 miles).

Looking at Gravelys web site they say this mower will cut at low of 1.5 inch. I know my wright stander says the save thing. I can get a 1 inch cut by lower tire pressure. My wright stander does set lower on lawn than hard surface. I like your mower and just want to sure that a 1 inch cut will be a basic setting.
Thanks, Terry

chuacro,

I just went out and lowered the mower to it's lowest setting of 1 inch (as shown on the side adjustment holes). I then measured the blades to varify. Sure enough the blades are right at 1 inch.

As of this moment, nobody has secured the purchase of the mower with a deposit.

Having said that however, I feel that I should give chuacro a chance to respond (based on his past post, he usually replies late at night).

So if I do not hear from chuacro by 8:00am Thursday, the mower will still be available to whoever has the funds.

Gravely 36" mower is still for sale.

The guy came to get it this morning but saw one on of my other mowers (52" Everride Scorpion FX). I was willing to part with the Everride so that is what the guy bought instead.

The only reason I got the EverRide is because he wouldn't part with the "Blue" one... :)
When we pulled away my son kept saying.."I wanted to get the blue one, you know blue's my favorite color dad...why didn't we get the blue one?"
Spent the day getting used to the stander. That does take some getting used to. The wife wasn't that impressed but atleast I'm still sleeping in my bed.

F.Y.I., good guy to deal with and the Gravely is just what you see in the pics...good machine.

B/c If i am going to end up driving the 5.5 hrs from AR to TN i want to know more about the mower. I have PM'd DC on this to try to find out more info on the mower with out any luck. Right now i have a Gravely 1336 from a friend that is great. I like it a lot. But it's belt driven and i would prefer a hydro. But I can spend about the same price on Either and not have to make a 600mile road trip. So that's why i was talking about buying. IN= Too Far, TN=do able If the price is right.

Guys,

I have tried to give all the information about this mower throughout these pages. I have also tried to do it professionally.

Bottom line is that you see decent pics of a 03 mower with less than 500 (no lame excuses) hours on it. The deck is in good shape and is not all beat up. The hydros are strong. The spindles are good. The blades are new. The blade belt is good. The PTO clutch works fine. The hydro drive belt will need replace in the near future. The drive tires have about 50% left on them.

I'll be happy to answer any other question that have not been already covered.

Price is $1900 firm for this 36" Hydro Gravely. If someone whats me to hold or deliver it, it will take a deposit to warrant my time.

Hope everyone has a nice holiday weekend,

Dave
