hey guys i have very little knowledge of irrigation, i kno how to repair heads and hoses and i can turn a hunter system on for the spring after being blown out but thats about it. anyways to my question i have a garden installation coming up and the home owner has sprinkler heads in the area where the garden is going , now can i take the heads off and instead of the heads put drip line in or is that to much pressure for a drip system?

Measure your pressure at the take off point of the drip system and come back. All following posts will most likely just be flames until you get that information.

Will you be using any of the existing sprinkler heads to keep watering the turf on the same zone (valve) that your planning on using for the drip system?

put a pressure reducer on the feed for the drip line. Along with that should be a filter to keep all the junk out of the line. When converting a spray head to a drip line you need to even out the pressure. good luck. You could alo call in a sprinkler company to handle the job if you don't know what your doing...
