if your doing a large project that may take 2 or more days, to complete, and the customer asks for an estimate and you really have no idea how long its going to take( it could take say 4 to 5 days depending on ....) do you ever qoute the customer a daily rate
3 workers 8 hours this amount ________ ....... or whatever
do you think this is a good idea or bad idea ?
just want here you opinions

Yeah charging by the day is just an extension of charging by the hour since there are only so many hours in a day. I would even give someone a slight break on my hourly rate if I was going to be at their property for a whole day because that takes out a LOT of down time expense of driving around. So yes if you think it will take you 4.5 days and there are 8 hours a day take your hourly rate and multiply by 36 and there ya go!
