I am having some trouble with ym Scag WB w/ a Kohler Command Pro 14 engine. Everytime i go to start the mower i have to chock it. Even if the mower has been running for 30 plus minutes i still have to choke it to make it start. What would be the cause of this and how do i fix it. Thanks

has it been like that since new? i would guess that the float level is very low and doesn't pick the fuel up easily while cranking. remove the carb and take the bowl off and check the float setting. a rule of thumb is to hold the carb upside down and the float should be level or parrallel to the bowl surface. make sure you blow everything out while you have it apart. if it still has the problem then it may just be the nature of your beast. or you could try a brand new carb. let me know what happens.
