I got magnets last year and it was 75 bucks for both doors. Sounds a bit high.

I had my logos done one on each door with the phone number then some extra lettering on each panel under the ext cab window for $185, my suggestion would be to ask for references so you could see they're work.

600 to 700 is in the ball park, we have lettered a good bit and it's much more reasonable now that the economy is in the tank.

how big is the lettering? have a pic of what you got done for 250.. curious to see. I thought i got a good deal but not so sure now. on my sides it is almost 4 feet across and 28 inches high and the graphic needed to be airbrushed for fading effect. also the trees (if you can see in the pic) have lots of little peices...

I got my truck lettered at Fast Signs here in town. I have my logo on the front door, services on the rear passenger doors and tailgate done with logo and services, cost around 250.00

Had my rear window done w/company name and phone number one color 24x36 approx size 20.00 professional cut...i installed he marked center point for me
becareful of advertising on vehicle if it is also your private vehicle as insurance rates will increase...some companies will give you a waiver for limited lettering....
or if you only use the vehicle to transport tow trailer not actual work such as plowing or hauling debris mulch etc...

Unfortunately for us, lettering is an industry that the lowballers have yet to enter it seems.
A $500 lettering job doesnt cost even $20 in material and takes the sign guy about an hour.

Hey guys, I own Premier Lawn Care, Inc. and also Premier Tinting, Inc. where we also do vinyl graphics.... i would like to put my two cents in about these comments on us in the vinyl graphics industry so call "over charging" when it doesn't cost us much in materials... the machines and computers and software that it takes to run the cutting programs are not cheap its much like the lawn care company you got a couple thousand dollar piece of equipment that takes a few bucks in gas to make a beautiful lawn but yet make a couple 100 percent markup whats the difference in running a couple thousand dollar plotter to cut a couple dollar piece of vinyl for a couple 100 percent mark up? Nothing. The fact is in my honest opinion since I do both... it takes way more skill to operate from point A of vinyl graphics to point B being the finished product on your truck than it takes to operate a zero turn mower....Now i'm not ranting but saying unfortunately theres not a lowballer in this industry yet makes it seem like the average joe could run a plotter and its software. Lowballers aren't in business to make money therefore they can't afford the expensive equipment... lowballing lawn care people .... well you see them just like i do they don't have the professional equipment we do. And yes I know this is only my 2nd post but i've been visiting a while... if anyone one has any questions about my industry Graphics or even Tinting i'll be more than happy to answer any of them!

Valid points. We have around 50k in equipment. I've been in the graphics business since the late 80's. And yes, we do have low ballers. The difference is in the quality of the work and the materials.

very easy to install the lettering youself just make sure of 3 VERY importent things:
1: make sure window/paint is clean and dry
2:make sure that everything is straight! Nothing worse than lettering that goes on an angle.
3: find center point and mark both on graphics and on where you will be placing graphics!

Wet installs aren't that bad either. Just takes more squeegee. The trick is to not use too much go go juice. A good application tape like I use...is great for wet applications.
