Is it true you don't need a license to apply granular fertilizer? Any answers to this question would be greatly appreciated.

In VA you would need a Fertilizer/Lime Contractors Permit. If you are thinking of using any weed and feed product ie Scotts Halts or weed control you need to contact your dept. of agriculture to get your pesticide license and all the proper insurance.

In most states you can apply straight fert without a lic. But you cannot if it has any pesticides in it. Even roundup is a pesticide. But you need to check your local laws.
