Has anyone heard of or stunted zoysia or hybrid bermuda cover spraying a lawn for weeds control early in the season. Right as its coming out of dormancy. Last season we sprayed a lawn such as this, the result it took months before it greened up. Someone suggested that we applied weed control too early.

Any thoughts?

Is glyphosate involved in this story?

You also do not want to spray Image, Certainty, triazines(atrazine, simazine, Sencor) or metsulfuron on a lawn that is trying to emerge from dormancy. Tolerant grasses have to metabolize those herbicides and environmental stresses have a negative effect on the ability of the grass to metabolize.
