These are some really big ones for this area.I also discovered a really High water table.
After I finish getting these down we are going to work on some drainage and grading.

No it goes up against the boom.
The trees are about 24 to 30 inches across where I cut them.

A water table that high you would have to be carefull that hard ground could turn to soup in minutes
A 161 Kubota looks funny with rubber bands I'am used to seeing them with steel tracks.

I guess nobody told the Kubota it couldn't.LOL
It takes about 10 minutes a tree but it is not a problem.
I have done trees that size with the Tak as well.
You learn which roots need to be cut and which to leave and the tree falls excatly where you want.
I wish I had a large excavator but it will do for know.

I don't know why people always doubt what a little mini will do. Some say there's no way in hell your going to drop a 24" 100' tall pine with a 10,000lbs mini. All you have to do is dig up the roots to make it fall the way you want it too, really not that hard.

The only thing you have to be carefull about is if the tree has a rotten top you start jiggling the tree it may or may not snap off.
It is amazing what a 161 Kubota can do I have used one but I watched a operator with quite a few hours on a 161 and it can do some decent work.

All of these trees the tops are rotting and he is scared that one day they will hit him or his horses. The trees are fine it is just the tops.

When your pushing one of those rotten tops over the top sometimes decides to let go and drops on top of the machine. If you don't have any stains in your underwear you will when a large branch bounces off the cab of the machine you will have some stains

How much does that Kubota weigh and can it lift those stumps to load a trailer?

You would have to carry those stumps on the blade I don't think the Kubota would lift them high enough.
Put them in a corner somewhere and let them dry out for the summer then burn them.
With a high water table like that it would be good for the owner to make a surface well for irrigation.

Kubota is about 6 tons and those stumps are very heavy.I doubt my skid steer will pick them up.I can usually handle hardwoods about 2 foot diameter and about 20 foot long for an example of what it will load but going over the side of the machine is fun.

you don't even need a mini to fell a 24 inch tree. If its cut properly with a directional wedge you can push the tree over with a rope and rachet strap/comealong/hooked to a vehicle or some wedges or a pry bar. Mini ex's kick arse, I've got to rent a 161 to dig out some pine stumps in a few weeks. I think I will bring it home and dig a hole to push all my crap into that wouldn't fit in the chipper thats accumulated into a giant pile at this point

Yes but the stumps are much easier to get up when attached to the tree.
