Best market tool for residential

I am looking for the best way to market my business to residential property owners. Door hangers is an option. What might have better results?

Sky writing, drive a vehicle that's all lettered up into a school bus at high speed (lots of free advertising, you'll probably be on the cover of the paper), follow other LCO's around and go talk to all there customers after they leave, tie your fliers to bricks and chuck them through peoples front windows (you'll get lots of calls maybe not so much business).
