I have noticed many of my competitors do a separate application for spraying weeds. What do most of you guys do? I do my second application as fertilizer and spray for weeds as one. And yes, I am licensed and insured.

well, sometimes round two does not need fert at all so i dont use it. this is more than likely the mentallity behind it. i dont always leav fert out, but if it is already green and growing crazy then heck no i dont put down fert

It is inclusive in Rd.2 and 3 (depending on where they are on the schedule time-wise). I CAN say this...I am happy to just spray someone's weeds if they want it done! No prob! I used to not do it, but the margin is so high, how can I not? Granted, No guarantees...no return trips. I can make no promises of not having dandelions or anything else pop up afterward.

I do one charge for all 6 applications. Some only fert, some fert and weed/crabgrass/and or nutsedge control. Once u get the lawn thick and overseeding can help, mow high 3+", water good, then u will use less chemicals.

It is my first season but I am not planning to put down fert with chems on the 2nd app.
I feel it would pinch up too close between my first and third apps. If you put down a good fert with a good % slow release, no need to spread fert on the 2nd app.
