I have something similar and they work ok until you hit hard gravel or rock.
If you are looking for different methods besides this one do a search on it as its been discussed alot. Good Luck!

1/2" diversa bit works well for 1-2 wires in a 1/2 sleeve for anything under 6ft

I bought several 1 inch and 1 and 1/4" double head circus tent stakes for sidewalks that work well with the PVC slid over. I remember them being very reasonable. just google circus tent stakes.

the sidewalk sleever works nicely. It will save you so much time as compared to doing it the old way.
