I used to carry a 2 gallon sprayer with round up to spray the odd weeds growing in cracks on sidewalks or odd areas. I also have a institution that I sprayed only round up at once or twice a year spraying along curbs and sidewalks. Was wondering if vinegar would work for this, where to make or buy it, and what it would cost and or rates. Thanks for any replies or alternatives:canadaflag:

I used Roundup as well. Now it will be Horticultural Vinegar. $50 for 1 gallons $500 45Gallon drum.

Topkill only. You will have to apply more often 2 times more.
Don't get this stuff on your skin it burns. The vapors are fun too.

Most vinegars are 5%. You want the 9% vinegar. Some stores sell it.

This subject was just raised in another thread. any links to research on the toxicity of vinegar on humans, animals, soil? How long will this stay in soil? What are the major precautions with using this instead of 2-4-d, or Glyso?

BostonBull,
Here is a link to the Material Safety Data Sheet of Hort. Vinegar that is classifed as a CLEANER. (for the people without Pesticide licenses). As in Im cleaning your weeds.

This MSDS for EcoClear 25% acetic acid is a register product for the people that have Licenses:
