Hello,
I need a mower for our weekend place. The property is 18 acres of mostly woods with trails and some open areas that I've cleared with a CUT using the FEL and bushhog. I have been looking for a used garden tractor to mow grassy areas like around the cabin. I've also started looking for something to clear light brush in areas where I can't drive the tractor. An old gravely or a walk behind sickle bar mower seemed like good options but hard to find. Most of the stuff I would need to cut is finger sized saplings or blackberry bushes. How well would a used commercial walkbehind mower work cutting light brush? The guys that maintain the office where I work use Scags and they seem really rugged. It would be nice to be able to use one piece of equpment for mowing and light brush clearing.
