Will Exmark be putting verticle shaft engines on Full size Lazers in the near future?
What are the + and - of verticle vs horizontal?

accuratelawn,

Not at this time that I am aware of. The + and - of this style can almost be like Ford vs Chevy.

The biggest reason we used horizontal is because of the HP available in that style of engine on the full size units. The smaller decks don't require as many ponies, on the other hand a 72" deck with a mulch kit in thick tall Bluegrass will bring most engines to there knees. Most of the common engine manufactures didn't have the HP our customers wanted.

Here is my official unofficial on this. The vertical 23HP on a 52" deck is an awesome performer. A 72" will need at least 26HP for any commercial application.

Thanks, Fred.

ive owned a pile o mowers . the one thing that u can count on is fairly regular belt replacement.not so with this mule drive
so i got no complaints with this system. hope they keep it.

I STILL cannot believe those things are as trouble-free as they are!
