I've been considering getting into driveways and ran into this unit at a sale and not sure if it's what I want or not. I've never sealed before so have no idea other than what I've learned here for awhile. Albany pump, reelcraft reel, Honda motor. Why the big pulley? It never came with a tank and looks like it was barely used. Does anyone recognise it? Looks like a Pro Tect outfit to me but I have no idea. Wasn't planning to start this year so I'll likely resell this one and buy a complete one in the fall.

I was wondering about that too, and if you wish to sell it, I'll give you what you paid for it. The Big Flywheel has me puzzled too, seems a strange setup. I was going to bid against you, or actually did, but I just wanted it for parts, so let you have it. Never seen a set-up like that, and it was not used much, so they may have had problems. Lemme know if you wish to sell it. Did you buy the stump grinder too?

Small world eh shep. Didn't even know it was you. I bought it kinna for the parts but don't want to strip it until I find out what it was actually built for. The motor is for a sweeper I'm supposed to be building. I thought the same thing, someone built it and oh crap it don't work and sold it. The yard guy said it came from the City so I think it's should be pro built. The tank was bolted into a truck and truck wasn't surplus yet so no tank at the sale.

Okay which guy were you, I wasn't really paying attention to who was bidding. I was in black carharts and still freezing my azz off. I did bid a few things, should have bought the newer Steiner with cab though.

Cheap day for me, bought nuthin. Waited for the sealer unit, as I wanted the reel, and spare pump. I was against the wall, had the Sheps Pavement Marking jacket, with " What happens in the parking lot, Stays in the Parking Lot" embroidered under my Logo. Also had a Grey Hood Up, also trying to keep warm, long cold day eh? Calvin said he had to much for this sale, so will be another one soon. If you wanna sell the reel or pump, lemme know.
You would look good on that Gravely " Slope mower"

I remember ya now. I was standing behind you inside for awhile, I even read your name on your coat and never caught on. Brain freeze. I'll let you know on the parts, my son has plans. There was a few others from here there too but never put faces to screen names. I was thinking about the Dodge truck but wimped out at the end. Never sold though so still thinking about it, I have the same one but a gasser and only 130000kms and already put a dump box on it. I drove one of those slope mowers a few feet before and it ain't as easy as it looks. I wanted the slide in dumps but at $1800 and $2300 I'll build my own. I was talking to Calvin at the end and he said another coming up soon. He noticed me putting the 4x4 wood blocks that were under the sealer back under it on my trailer when I was loading it and asked if I was bringing them back later. Said they never went with sealer. Sheet, I've spent 10's of thousands of dollars there over the years and he whines about 4 blocks.

Sorry Shep, sprayer is already gone. Son just got home he sold it this morning while I was at work. Guess he didn't want another part time job. I think he left some money on the table it sold so quick. I always tell him to sell reasonable but sell alot and for once he listens and sells it too quick.

Looks like a Pro-Tect but not sure. The pully is most like for gear reduction for the pump. If you plan to sell msg me I will make you an offer

Sorry man, it's long gone. Son sold it I think it went to London. Yeah it was a gear reduction I was just trying to figure out why it needed it. It must have been a high speed pump. I never even got a chance to look at it to see the specs on it. I'm still looking for a complete setup but don't need it until next year so I'm sure I'll find another deal.
