I would look at all the locations and figure your travel time to and from and how much you need to cover that time. Then just divide that by the number of locations to come up with your trip charge. If you are not used to pricing trip charges you must already have a buffer in your pricing to help even things out. Since they are a franchise they may expect the same mowing fee for each location so you might want to look at this in a bigger picture and look at each job individually and divide by the total number of jobs and look at the trip charge in the same way. Just make sure that your bid to them states that your pricing is contingent on getting all the locations, otherwise they may just pick and choose certain locations. Not sure if that was any help or not. We are a irrigation service only company and our trip charges start at $40.

You could also calculate the miles driven for each site by using a map service on-line.

I think the Gov't mileage compensation standard is 58.5 cents a mile. So I would start with that number and adjust it from there. I'd probably adjust it to keep it to a better number if the trip distance is short.

I charge $.60 per mile plus my time @$35 per hour. If its stop and go traffic $1.20 plus my time. I have a job that 42 miles from my last account, Takes 45-50 min 1 way, when i bid it i took this into account and figured, $108 just for the trip.
