I like to get different T shirts and I like graphic stuff as well, a couple years thought I would start my own T shirt line called SkidJockey/EquipmentJockeyWear. I did some designs and we printed a bunch up and went to a construction show and I think we sold like 3 the whole weekend. I brought them home and put all the totes in the corner and kind of gave up on them. One thing that was hard was picking colors and sizes, we had a company in town do it and it would have been nice to be able to do more proto-typing or one-offs. I kind of had ideas for loaders, excavators, dump trucks but stuck with just skids on that try.

I have my asbestos underware and tinfoil hat on, what do you think?

I don't like the name skid jockey. Equipment wear or equipment tee's somthing like that. Skid jokey reminds me of dirty underwear:laugh: I like the Idea though. I'm having a new logo drawn up as we speak. Hpefully it will be done by the end of the week. Check your pm.

We kind of used the skidjockey as a insult before but I thought it kind of sounded catchy. I also think I shouldn't have used all light colored shirts, so much stuff was going on and made lots of mistakes.

I'd put my company logo on the back and call it a day, I do agree though, maybe change it from skidjockey to something else..

One of the bigger questions is would you want to spend 10-15 bucks for one? If you were to change the name, I'm stumped for the time being. How about a high viz shirt?

I would yeah, I was goin to spend almost $20 on a bobcat shirt. As far as what to change it to, I dont know..

And I wouldnt buy a high viz shirt, maybe orange, but most likely not, I am not critisizing, I am just giving you feedback, its got help, right? :)

Hey, I like it Stuve, I think it's a cool concept, I think it needs a couple tweaks. The Skid Jockey thing is really on the bubble, but I wouldn't move far from that concept. Like someone said earlier, Equipment Jockey would work well and grow it from there. You might do well to do a general name in order to brand the shirts, then change the caption and the logo accordingly, or keep it really simple and just change the equipment logo and keep equipment jockey or Heavy Equipment Jockey name with NO caption.

I think funny captions might be good. I don't know. But I think you will draw people in by keeping it as professional and cool/hip as possible. branch from there, but initially when you can only have so many pieces to start I would stick to that.

The equipment logo's themselves are really well done too. I think you have done a very nice job. Like I said, just pick a solid direction and tweak...then find some early adopters and use them to get to the rest of them, and soon enough you could be selling in local dealerships and then who knows...online

Can't judge a book by it's cover! Ah gotta love marketing photos. If I was smart, maybe I'd take my photography skills into that arena. Then again, if I was smart, there's a lot of things I'd be doing...

Gotta admit though, even for a 445, she looks good in that pic.

One of the reasons I settled on 'jockey' was you can put other machines and keep expanding. X jockey, bladejockey, loaderjockey, semijockey, and on and on so everyone is represented. One I kind of thought of was having a shot of a skid with no attachment and a couple different attachments like bucket, forks, grapple with 'I have attachment issues'.

Instead of "semijockey" I'd put "gearjammer" Just my $.02

Stuve, I'd buy a shirt or two. I like the first one in the pics, lime green or safety orange would be a good color option. I think you may have caught onto something in all honesty. If you look at other equipment t-shirts, they have lame cartoon graphics of the equipment which is super lame.

Another idea here:

Put in a view from the inside of a skid. Make sure to include the joysticks.
text above/under it: "Women love the way I use my joystick" or something
along those lines.

Ok, I have never posted before, so, I may be doing this wrong...forgive me if I totally mess up?

I've been a fan of your forum for over 6 months now (one of the nameless masses), but when I read about you guys wanting some tee shirts that were made with heavy equipment and construction in mind; I knew I could help! :dancing: One of my "jobs" is graphic design, and I have a deep, respect for heavy equipment operators....especially since my best friend just happens to be one! :usflag:

So....after working on the notion of creating some tees for you guys...here's what I came up with. I hope you like them, and I tried to keep the prices within reason.
