Comparison by brand for 32-48" mowers?

Has anyone ever seen a comparison done, by brand, in a table format of the different mowers that are out there? I'm looking to get a new one and want to get the best deal of course, but with all the brands, it's hard to figure out. I know dealer support for my local area is very imporant, but here's what I'm looking for:

Gear driven:
exmark 36" 15hp spec spec spec spec spec $price
scag 36" 15hp spec spec spec spec spec $price
Toro 36" 15hp spec spec spec spec spec $price
snapper 36" 15hp spec spec spec spec spec $price

exmark 36" 17 hp spec spec spec spec spec $price
scag 36" 17 hp..................
etc...

Hydro:
exmark 36" 15 hp spec spec spec spec spec $ price
etc.....

Etc etc etc...


This way you could review it, weigh the price by the brand and then see ok, I got $3500 to spend.. I could get a 36" exmark hydro, OR a 48" gear driven abcd brand, for the same money, etc...


As far as the price goes, one could start with the msrp's and then revise the table to prices they know they could get the machine for, be it at an online shop or a local dealer they know of.

I was hoping that turf magazines "buyers guide" for 2002 was going to have that, but they didn't.

Yet I've seen these types of tables in both bicycling magazine and computer magazines.. I'm sure they've been done before.
