do you notice much difference in cut between the 720 and 737. Asking because i had a 62'' deck on my 485 and it cuts like crap. i have sold that mower and bought a 445 and 425 (tractor mowers) used mostly for snow but do mow woth them and they cut better than the 485 did.

I have the 60" 7 IRON deck on the X720. It has the 7 IRON cut, which is great, only problem is if you have alot of very rough or hilly terrain the deck doesnt have alot of room under the tractor for the deck to move up and down. Also, the guage wheels (when the bagger is attached) will pop divits out of the turf when you turn if you dont watch it. But all in all, I love the tractor.

so many tractors i like them any one mow commercially with them

04-10-2009, 09:57 AM
I currently have 12 accounts. These are all residential. However i work for another LCO and he has several comercial accounts. He runs two x 595's and a x495 all diesels. We could save some time with zero turns but all of his other accounts have steep banks and such so these work the best overall for our mowing area.

Here is a few of ours. We have a JD 1445 front mount with a 72" deck and a X744 with a 54" deck on the trailer and we also the JD 3720 with the blower for winter and a 72" deck for the summer. And let me tell ya it is awsome in the summer for mowing when you can sit in the air conditioned cab and jam. We also have a JD 997 -turn with a 72" deck on that too. And to top it off we have a JD 4720 loader tractor for lawn installs. All with are getting traded in this month for all new ones. When we get the new ones I will repost pics all.

This is the forklift from my old job at a feed store that they painted to look like a John Deere. It's an old Mitsubishi, but I thought the color scheme matched. Unfortunately, I got her stuck in some fresh slag and had to get pulled out by the 5 ton.

Reel's cut grass like scissors not like a regular mower, almost all major league ballparks cut their turf with reels, downside is the cost to sharpen the reels, you can back lap them in between regular sharpening, it all depends how much you use them, my Emerald Zoysia is so thick, a reel is the best way to cut. Its fun using it. Raise up the reels when you turn, lower them when you cut.
