Slice Seeder Questions

After using a slice seeder for over seeding, do i need to put straw down. Also do I spreed the fertilizer with a spreeder or mix it with the seed. Sorry to ask the dumb questions but I am new at this. thanks

You do not need to cover with straw. The slit seeder (dont know the model you have) should sow the seed into the ground and wont need any more covering. How deep did you set it to seed? Use a spreader for the fertilizer. Two reasons. One the calibration will be completely different because of the size and texture difference between the seed and fert. Two the fertilizer will corrode the hell out of your seeder.
