What is important to have when you go for a bid? I take my business card, flyers, brochures, and a calculator, and I present myself in uniform, is that okay? :confused:

I sometimes take a portfolio of work when doing a preliminary design meeting so I can throw out ideas quicker to people. Pictures get you there faster.

Other than that I take my note pad with the customer's call sheet and that's it. I send the quote/contract after I type it up in the office. Business cards are always on me and I'll usually give 'em one when I leave.

take the ability to tell the man things he doesnt know about his lawn. in an inoffensive way of course.
