Showed up at my customer's house yesterday to do the spring clean up. I know this wall was and has been a problem for a few years now, but look what happened to it over the winter. Worst part of this all is its a two tier wall and it supports the foundation of the house. Turns out the builder of the house never got a permit for this wall. Also, I included a shot of the truck and trailer since I've been asked to a few times. I'll add a new pic when I finally get my lettering put on it.

wow, I don't know too much about hardscaping, but shouldn't there be stone, drainage, grid behind that wall?

Did you get your tailer painted to match the truck? That looks really nice. Never liked navy blue trucks untill I saw yours.

The trailer was custom ordered. I got it exactly the way I wanted it. I think it will look pretty sharp with some lettering.

I haven't done a lot of hardscaping, but I've built enough walls to know that there should be a bunch of gravel behind that wall and drain tile. Grid, I'm not sure, but definately Grid it if nothing else just to overbuild it. That whole wall will need to come out to be fixed right. BTW, nice rig!!

Wow! Nice truck and trailer!! Is that Powerstroke? Matching combos like that look so cool. You know, some aluminum wheels on the trailer would really look sweet.

that looks like a lot of time and money to fix that wall

Looks like the whole wall needs to come down and then an assessment on whether or not there's structural damage to the foundation. There does need to be some drainage in there. BTW the guy that build that retaining wall is probably gone now and anything against the contractor that built it is a lost cause. Although because its holding the foundation it might be something that's covered under your customers homeowners insurance.

UGH, don't say that. That's the one thing I didn't get on the trailer. I figured it was unnecessary. No, it's not a powerstoke. It's a 5.4 gasser. Thanks for the compliment.

Yea, the guy is nowhere to be found. I think the house was built in 01. This is the second time that wall has fallen since it was built. The whole thing does have to come down. A wall like that needs drainage and geogrid. Another funny tidbit about that wall is the lawn right in front of it has the septic fields. So, no machines can go in to work on that wall. It would have to be repaired all by hand.

so are you going to be the one to take on this task or are you going to have a hardscape company come in.
