What can I do....I have burnt the grass by spreading too much fertilizer. It started that the tips of the grass turned white and now it is dying off. What can I do to save this lawn????
Please Help!

Sounds like its been a few days, at least, since you did this...I think now the only thing you can do is water the hell out of the turf. At least 1 inch, as much as 2 inches, of water for 4-5 days.

First of all it is a salt burn - not nitrogen.
Because of the dessication associated with the salts in synthetic fertilizer, depending upon the amount of material applied there may be little you can do.
If you really want to try something, core aerify in at least 2 directions, pick up the cores then apply activated charcoal to the site. Then water the charcoal very thoroughly.

no matter how you look at it. Its going to cost you money. how did you over fertilize? just curious, are you licensed?
