Has anybody ever use POR 15 paint underneth mower decks? I keep on hearing good things about it.

I've heard really good things about it for truck frames. Personally, under a mower deck, I wouldn't bother. Just wash it every now and then.

Why? if its being used all the time and kept clean I dont see why you would.

I have used POR15 on my mower deck. I bead blasted my Toro 44" deck clean then POR15ed it. I believe it helped it last years longer. My mower was 15 years old when I sold it this year. If you are looking to presreve the deck from rust this is your product. If you are looking to make it slick so stuff doesn't stick maybe adding graphite paint is your ticket.

POR 15 was still on my mower deck 5 years after application when I sold it. My uncle painted his Model A with this product. He used the "non-uv resistant" variety so it would turn flat black. He did this about 6 years ago.

If you get some don't get it in the lip of the can. If you do, and close the lid with some in the lip, you will not get the lid off.

This stuff will not wear off.
