I am looking into buying a 1999 4600 with 1354 hrs. Is it possible to add range wings to this, and if so how much would i be looking at spending. Also the guy wants me to give him an offer what do you think it's worth.

The Range Wing is a mower we put together at the factory, not the dealer level.
You can order the items needed to do it, but its not cheap.
And it is very labor intensive.
So yes they can be added but its not easy or cheap.
If you can find a set of used mechanical range wings (we havent offered them for years) that will be less expensive and easier to install.
The current wings are hydraulic.
These are just the main parts you will need to buy from a Hustler industrial dealer.
This is assuming you have the 72" HDDT front deck already.
And these are the MSRP's

925164 Range Wing Left Hydro $6,577.00
925156 Range Wing Right Hydro $6,258.00
392456 Kit, Range Wing Mount – Right Wing $731.00
305888 72 HDDT Hyd RW Conversion Kit $870.00
471516 Kit Range Wing Baffle Insert $954.00
Sub total = $15,390.00

Wow! that's about $13,000 more than what I can buy the mower for. So if i can find a set of mechanical range wings i can fairly easily add them.

You have to realize that full MSRP on a new diesel Range Wing is about $50,000.00
If you find a set of mechanical range wings you will be able to install them, fairly easy... I don't know, depends on if you have everything and how mechanical you are.
