Email notifications

For well over a month now every time I get an instant email notification that someone has replied to a thread, I get directed to either the second reply of the thread or I get directed to a post that has been made on the day, even when there has been more than 1 post made, a good example is:

A 3 page (standard format style "X" posts per page default) I get an email, I click the link and it takes me to the last post, but I notice that there is now a 4th page, so I read/reply to the post on the page 4, and close the browser and lets say I come back 2 hours later.

I get another email regarding a post made, click on the link and I get sent right back to the post on page 3, meanwhile, there have been 9 additional posts made and now there is a page 5. Close the window and come back in an hour, and I still get directed to page 3.
It's not until the next day that it finally gets straight, but I miss the odd post.

I have played with all the settings regarding default posts per page and nothing seems to work.

When you click the link in the email notification it will direct you to the first "new post" that has been made within that thread since your last visit to the site.

So, there is no setting that you can/need to adjust to change that

But that "new post" is always on the wrong page, it's kinda hard to show it unless you want to hang out with me in my house, but then you have to sleep with my mom, and she's kinda grabby.
