just picked up 100lbs of seed to overseed for the spring. i have some barespots and was planning on aerating, seeding, then fertilizing. I got home with the seed today to find out the contractors had the landscape guy come buy today and they fertilized it today. Can i aerate it after it has been fertilized then seed? or since the fertilizer is down already should i just spread the seed and roll it with a roller into the ground?

You should be ok. Was it a slow release fert? If so I might be a tad bit worried about breaking up the pellets but I would think the chances of this are rather slim. Maybe someone with a bit more experience can shed some light on the subject.

thanks for reply! anyone else? the fertilizer that was put down was starter, no herbicides in it if that helps.
