Well I turned 18 last Saturday and I got my first clean-up of the year finished today, so I thought I would post some fresh pics in a new thread. We service about 40 regular mowing accounts. This business is run in partnership with my Dad who also has a full-time job.

Yeah, I think I'm going to get some nice signs lettered up once I get some cash.

That crappy trimmer is just sitting on the rack, I got it for free from a customer so I figured I take it and fix it up and give it away.

My main trimmer is a Shindaiwa T231 and I also have an old Echo, I would like to get a STIHL FS90 soon.

I love the BR600, lots of power and easy on fuel.

Thanks for the comments!

I would, but this dethatcher only cost like $40. The dethatcher works pretty well for what I need. I would like to get a new trailer this summer, probably a 7x16 open or enclosed. That's why I'm holding off on trailer signs.

I just bolted them through the side rails.

The dethatcher looks pretty cool to me. Im still jealous of your 34" stander:laugh:. Just curious how do you tow that law roller with you 52". I had to weld up a hitch that mounts in between the fenders for my great dane so I can tow an aerator, Im guessing you had to do something like that.

04-16-2009, 02:57 PM
I love working with my Dad, we have such a good time doing what we love

I used to do a lot of burnouts with the 34" but I just slowed down a bit and just took it easy and I rarely rip up turf anymore.

I'll get a pic of the hitch on my 52"

Ahhh, give our little pimp some slack. Real girls love dried up grass and grease. I know the Red Max man must have a few with his girl on a mower...I know all my girls have been on my tractor. Kenny Chesney said it best..."She think's my tractor's sexy, It really turns her on"

Yeah, it's a great machine. Demo one for a day and see if it works for your accounts. Cuts very well

Most proms are late April around here...

Country Clippers are nice machines, they seem well built and leave a pretty descent cut.

Here's the hitch set-up on the 52" Scorpion, needs a little modification, but overall it's good.....

I'm looking to do something like this with my 34" Scorpion. Way I figure it I know my 34 will get in every yard where my Warrior won't PLUS it'll be easier to step off the Scorpion to raise the aerator or shut off the spreader instead of jumping off the Warrior and running around. The Scorpion is slower too so it's less likely to go too fast when spreading. I've run the Scorpion two full season's and have 35 hours on it to boot.....get some use out of it.

It should work well. You can't beat just hoping off really quick to adjust whatever you're towing. I have just under 200 hours on my FX, I don't use it
a lot, but the lawns I do use it on it's very quick. I use both mowers on the same lawn quite often, using the 34 to do in between gardens, etc. and the 52 for the wide open areas. I love my 2 Scorpion system and it keeps me very efficient. My 34 is mostly used for spring clean-ups as I mounted the dethatcher to the front.

I don't enjoy it much, but the money is descent. It's nice, nobody ever bugs me. Cemeteries never have, and never will freak me out. My foot has dropped into a fresh grave before, but it didn't freak me out one bit. I was more pissed at the mud in my boot.

We have some old sewer pipe that we are dropping down into the holes, and then we have some canvas for around the bottom. It's quite nice, we've done a lot of work to it. I'll get some good pics of us once we get her on the lake. I've never had a nice house like this. Just a crappy portable house.

hey do you have a stake pocket in your bed behind your toolbox? I want to put sides on my truck but I'd have to lose my tool box.

I wish I did. Since I put the toolbox on, I lost the front stake pockets, but I redid the sides so they just sat on top of the bed and they were somewhat sturdy after they were cross-strapped with some ratchet straps. Not the best solution, but it did the trick for the few weeks I did leaves.
