bosch....not even sure where exactly to find them, or if they make em for anything but two cycle...stihl uses bosch plugs and nothing else, and they last forever. so, if you can find them, id recommend bosch!

Autolite XST4265DP iridium spark plugs. I get mine at Napa and you have to include the dp at the end to get the right plug.
Easy starts are the best part of these plugs. 90% of the time first start and every start after are choke free.

whatever your manual says.
Mine are NGK bp4es
I tried the Champion Rj-12yc
Which caused a lot of fouling because they were not hot enough.
Even though the cross reference said it was correct.
So I am back to the NGK and no more problems for over a year.
From now on I will stay with what the manual suggests.
It is not worth saving 2-3 dollars a year.

Does anybody run E3 spark plugs? I've seen them around a little bit, but haven't bought any yet. Just wonder if they are as great as they claim. With some of these special plugs, like with two or more prongs, special electrodes, and stuff like that, do you notice any power or fuel efficiency increase?

I use them in my BG55, that POS would not start after the first start of the day. It would stay flooded and not go at all! NGK and Bosch WSR6F sucked!
The E-3 has solved that problem 100%, no more issues getting that blower going. 3.12 is the plug size and it is great. I may go over to them after I use up my Autolite XST plugs up.

What you have to remember is American made plugs(champion) The higher the number the hotter the plug.
With NGK plugs(japanese) The lower the number the hotter the plug.
So you will never have an exact match between the two.
I myself switched to champion plugs because they were easier to find.
But the problem did not appear until my equipment got a little older with fouling plugs.
When I switched back to NGK all is good again.
So again I would say install the plug suggested in the engine manual.
