I always think Red Mulch looks horrible. Nothing natural about it, but it pays the bills and the customers are happy, so I guess that is what matters. Enjoy the pics, and the last two are a little truck porn for those that like that stuff.:hammerhead::hammerhead:

Jared-- I also hate red mulch...I think we all do. Sometimes after I put it down for a customer, though I don't think it looks that bad. Only at certain houses though. Either way, nice job man. And ya gotta love the Walker stripes. Someday we'll have to race the Walker and Navigator. lol:laugh:

Nice rack.

Headache rack that is. What kind is it and how much, if you don't mind me asking. I'm in love with it.

Nice rack.

Headache rack that is. What kind is it and how much, if you don't mind me asking. I'm in love with it.

I have a friend that I did a very BIG favor for. He is still in debt to me:laugh: Anyhow, he is in the after market world. The rack cost me nothing, but it is made by a company called highway products. They use to make two versions. Aluminum and stainless steel. They no longer make the stainless. But the aluminum goes for $900 plus shipping. He told me the stainless was over $2000.:dizzy: The light bar was a gift from a friend that I use to work for. We did highway work, before I got into landscaping. I havent worked with him in four years, but we are still best buds. The light bar was my christmas gift. I guess I will have to get him more then a few 30 packs.:laugh: Lightbar cost almost $2700. I am in debt to him. Its the circle of life.

Oh yeah, I do have a nice rack by the way. Still working on losing the winter weight.

I am always up for a race of lawn mowers, but if we are going to do it we need to do it with beers in hand....Totally redneck style. I think your wife would disapprove of us racing, but what do woman know. Winner buys the other a beer, loser has to provide the drinking company:drinkup::drinkup::drinkup:

Hell yeah! My wife is cool about stuff like that. She puts up with all the stupid sh*t that my employee and I are always getting ourselves into. Your rules for the race sound good to me. By the way, I think we've talked about the whole Chevy/Ford thing but I have to say that is a sweet truck.

you at least could of fixed the edging before putting the red mulch down. same here is southwest florida, red mulch is all you see. and i'm guilty of having some in my landscape beds, away from the house. stone around the house.

Thanks Bill. Its always good to know someone has my back. I do believe the edging comment was ment at the pics from florida mulching. But if the customer wasnt paying extra for the repairs, than maybe the edging wasnt part of the job. I guess I am trying to be optimistic. It one of my new ventures...Everyone now a days seems so negitive so I am trying to be positive. I LOVE THE RAIN TODAY:laugh::laugh::laugh: Did I mention I may need to take up stretching the truth!

My fault, I didn't catch that. I didn't mean to jump on anyone. Yeah the rain is wonderful by the way. lol I am so over it, but I guess it's better than having a drought. I hope it doesn't rain on Wednesday because we are doing a landscape job for a military family for the PLANET Day of Service and I'm really excited to do it and don't want to have to reschedule.

Bill, that is SOOO Cool! I wish I could do something for the ones that give so much for this great country. I wouldnt even know where to begin. I tried to sign up for cutting a military family's lawn while they served, but the site told me there was nothing in my area at the time. You truely are a man with a big heart. Keep up the great work. I wish more people were like you. Maybe then landscapers wouldnt be looked down on so much.

Thanks bud. I always try to make my jobs look as good as possible, even if I need to go a little beyond the scope and shell a few dollars of my own. It brings in a LOT more woek in the end. It seems like every dollar of mine I spend, it brings in an extra $20 of some other work.

I was so lucky to score this rack. It was on the barter system. I could never have afforded it on my own. The only down side is people follow me and ask where I got it. Other than that, I love this rack.

Thanks dude, I really appreciate the nice words. I can't wait to post the pics! Did you talk to Joy from Greencare for Troops about mowing for a family? If not I can get you her info. Even if there is no one in your area at the time she'll put you on the list in case there is someone in need of some help in the future. Just a thought. Sorry to hijack your thread, man. And again, thanks again for the compliments.:waving:

Yes the edging is hammered! The customer had rock down and just wanted it weeded and covered with mulch. She wasn't concerned with the border as she was with just cleaning it up.

We did offer, she just declined...
