I worked for a lawncare company for the majority of 3 seasons. I also went to college (not that its applicable to lawncare). I'm a hard worker, dependable, quick thinker, good appearance, and professional. Is it ridiculous that I make less than $10 dollars an hour at my new lawn care job working for someone else?
I'm happy I have a job, but am I getting ripped off?! At the previous landscape company I made twice as much with benefits and no experience a few years ago. Albeot it way more detailed and productivity oriented- I feel ripped. it sucks!

Yeah, that one always breaks me up! I had a new guy last year that after about 2 weeks asked when he was going to get a raise! I told him "well you're not worth what I'm paying you now, I was wondering whether to keep you or not"

Ended up letting him go a few weeks later. Other guys on his crew didn't like working with him saying he was a "whiner" and his work ethic was crap.

Of course with the economy the way it is right now, no one is complaining about anything.... if anything the guys are being extra carefull about not screwing up.
