No i mean a truck went in her yard and made 2 deep ruts and she was wanting me to fix them... I put leveling sand but it seems like i need to do something else..

i also have this problem with a customer that had a tree guy in his yard. So I'm thinking top soil and roll it out but I'm not sure?

Topsoil in the ruts, level it out with a rake to match the surrounding turf and seed.

ok say you had 3 inches of rain from thursday to monday and customer calls tuesday and demands that you mow his yard that day? do you mow it no matter because thats what your customer wants or do wait until its dry and get that much further behind? just wanting opinions i had this happen to me yesterday.

as long as thers no standing water in the yard, i would mow it, just use the lighter WB instead of a Z. the Z will leave ruts if the ground is to wet and soft so just use the lighter equipment.

If the lawn is in good shape we use the stick edger and slice and remove the sod, Fill the ruts in with good topsoil slightly higher than grade, replace the sod and roll it.

I'm probably to late to help this customer but for the next time.....surgery.

I'm guessing this is a grassed yard.
cut a line down the centre of the rut with a spade. peel the sod back to the left and right far enough to get at at the soil along the edge of the rut then ya how the center up and loosen the edges where it was compacted. Add a bit of fill if required then tamp it down gently but firmly till it is similar in appearance to the undisturbed ground beside it.
Flip your sod back in place and seed along the rut as there will be grass damage.
