Currently I have a 48 ztr, 48 wb, and 32wb. What size trailer do I need to fit them? 14ft.? I would possibly carry 2 ztr's in the future along with the 32"wb could I still do that with a 14 or would I need a 16 footer? Thanks for the help.

Always go bigger than you think you need. I almost bought a 5x10 last year and ended up getting the 7x12. Was glad I did every day I used it. I outgrew that already and bought a 16ft today. I will probably be selling that next year for an 18-20 ft. With those mowers you need at least a 14ft. Better to have extra room to expand than to fit mowers on it like a puzzle.

I have a 14' and it fills up pretty fast (one Exmark Lazer Z and a Better Dually 36). Plenty of room for them but not if I had another mower. Go with the 16 minimum with 3 mowers (maybe even the 18')

Only problem there is limited driveway space.

I feel your pain...I'm lucky to be able to get away with the 14'
Hopefully, (and that's a BIG hopefully) I can eventually get into some kind of shop/garage for my business...that would solve a lot of problems, but with this economy it's not likely to happen too quickly.

16-18 footer for sure. IT there will be plenty of room for the mowers , but sometimes you gotta carry catchers, 21" mowers, or walkbehind blowers. So you cna just put thme in the trailer intead of in the back of your truck.

do you own a tape measure? put them in your driveway how you would put em on a trailer and measure. leave a few extra feet for any extra sh*t you might need to take along. done.

Yea, my 4x6 is definitely holding its max. I should have gotten larger, but it was a while ago when I was newer and was still using that Scotts 17/42. My next step is a large enclosed one, but not too large as I'm solo and my small truck would feel the pull. It feels it a bit now.

We use 7x16s and everything has to be loaded a certain way and in a certain order for everything to fit.

I'd buy the biggest thing you can pull and afford.

Anybody else use a full sized truck (dodge 1500 w/v-6) with a v-6 to tow a trailer 16 foot + can it handle the weight?

It would pull it but it will work the living crap out of it and probably won't last a real long time. If you go easy on it, it will get you by but I'd want something bigger.

I know where a nice 16ft used trailer is for sale a few blocks from my house. Your not more then 4hrs away. I think he wanted $1300 for it. I really want it but I can justify it. Nice looking trailer. LMK know if your interested and I can get the number and maybe even a few good pics.

I have a few leads, but did the one your looking at have a side ramp by any chance? I like that feature.

Greg in your signature pic what scag is that? If its a turf tiger can you answer my post here http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=271372 Thanks

By the way whoever asked if I have a tape measure. I can fit a 16' but I cant put the gate down without pulling my truck onto the sidewalk that crosses my driveway (I'll get a ticket if I leave it there). But I think I'll go with the 16 since I may be adding a zero turn.

The other thing to consider would be bagging sytems on the ZTR(s). I can fit 2 48
JD ZTR's sidways, my 21". blower, trimers, and fuel on a 6.5x12'. However, with the powerflow baggers take one ZTR out of the picture. I'd go with at least a 16'. Remember with the 16' you're moving to a tandem axel configuration and with that comes brakes. (Another little expense, about $150 when your said and done to add a controler to the truck)

As far as pulling with a 1/2ton Dodge with the V6... I hope you have low gears (4.10's), also, drill out the Anti-drainback valve in the tranny cooler line and add the biggest RV cooler you can fit infront of the a/c condenser.
