I guess it's time to start a new thread...for once I snapped some pics of my work...this is our down south St. Augustine grass. No stripes sorry lol. All the edging is done with a Stihl FC 90 stick edger, and we run the trimmer along the point where the edge meets the lawn to get anything the mower won't catch. I'll get some pics of the rig up soon.

Haha I knew I'd get grief about the stripes...it's a pain to stripe St. Augustine and nobody does it down here, so if stripes appear, that's great, but I don't spend any extra time on them lol.
I normally blow out all the cracks but I was in a hurry this time. The customer understood. I've had this one for a while now.

"I was in a hurry this time. The customer understood."
That is NOT the way to do business in my mind.
At least get them to pressure wash the sidewalk IMO.
And yes, everybody does love a nice clean crack. An overgrown crack is just not something I'm into. :)

I got it...its not a huge deal. When I cut the lawn this week I'm going to clean the cracks.
And about the pics, pretty non descript I know, but that's Florida. At least it's not scalped. I wish I could stripe though.

Deere's are one of the few mowers I see that stripe St. Augustine. There is a hotel near me that uses them and gets some striping. I wish I could.

Here's some stripes I made with the Gravely. They're not perfectly straight at all, and they're not great, but for St. Augustine they're good. This house is the only one with stripes in the whole neighborhood.
FYI when the pics were taken before I blew off the walks.
EDIT: I didnt know it would post sideways.
Those looks pretty good. I've got one lawn that my Metro 36 will stripe like that, if I remember the camera tomorrow I'll try to grab some.

I was gonna get the Metro 36, but I ended up with my Gravely instead. How do you like it?

I love my Metro, I got it for $480 and replaced all the belts and recoil and it runs great! Really boosted productivity.
How's the Gravely treating you?

The Gravely is a great machine...leaves a nice cut and discharges pretty well. Pulls me on the Velke no problem.

That edging looks good buddy so does the grass. you should through another blade on the edger, I always run doubles makes the edge extra wide!
