I need a recommendations on hand held edgers. I'll also be doing a limited amount of trenching with it. If you have one you recommend, I would be grateful for your input. Thanks!

Is a Shindaiwa T260 a good choice? A local has one nearly new for $350.

We like the echo straight shafts and the stihl straight shafts. Get one of those and a Trenchblade and you will be in business trenching up some bedlines real fast

I prefer the straight shaft units and HIGHLY recommend the Magnum Edger blade by Oregon. It works very well and little shield build up. The teeth actually cut the soil and clean around the shield. The tooth cuts a trench better. I have used it to install Alum. edging, Ive cut sod with it, and makes a nicer sidewalk edge. Well worth the price. Good Luck

I like the Stihl handhelds, had a curved shaft, it was okay, but the straight shaft really does the trick

just made sure you get something with enough power. My Echo PE-230 is more than adequate for maintaining sidewalk edges, but throw a TrenchBlade on it for some beds and it really doesnt have the balls I was hoping for when I bought it.
