The spray bottles that attach to a garden hose are handy for occasional spot treatment. And they're a lot easier to use than the cheap 1-3 gallon pump up spray bottles. But they cost around 8x what the concentrated stuff does...

Has anyone tried refilling one? If so, did you have any problems? Did you try to match the original cocktail, or just get the right percent of 2,4-D?

What I've got originally had 6% 2,4-D (and small amounts of a few other things). I bought some 46% 2,4-D. So I could dilute that about 7.5:1 to refill the spray bottle with 6%.

You can buy one made by Gilmour that is a lot more accurate, not professional stuff, but good enough for a homeowner.

Thanks for the link. I think I'll get one of those.
