Hey guys, this is my equipment for this year. Its not much, I know, but it gets the job done. I'm 16, and have been cutting grass around my neighborhood for about 5 years. Don't have too many accounts and never exceed about 15 a week. This year having my license and all im trying to expand and get 25-30 accounts...hopefully..
Pictured is..
2007 Craftsman 33" 10.5 hp Briggs
SRM210 Echo
125BT Husqvarna Back pack blower
Toro attachment edger
Ariens 624E 2-stage snow blower
5x8 Landscaping Trailer
2002 S10 CrewCab
>Everything was bought by me, with my money made cutting grass. Trying to grow each year a little more. This year was the trailer, snowblower, and truck. Maybe a new mower this season depending on how business goes;)
Thanks :waving:

Personally I have never been a fan of S10s, but thats a nice lookin one. Congrats on the purchase. How did you use to get to your jobs last year? When I was 15 my dad drove me around in his Ranger with the push mower in the back!

I have a Co-Worker at my main job that swears by that craftsman wb. and braggs about the cut and performance. How do you like it?

I like S10's, but not the crew cabs....just looks clumsy how the rear fender is damned near into the cab!
Hey, do you have a bagger for that craftsman? or do you just mulch/Side discharge?
Show some work that mower does!

nice set up, I like the craftsman wb, does it fit in 36" gated yards, that is the one, even with the most expensive equipment, something like your mower cant be beat when the other big mowers wont fit! I want to get one like that, cuz the walker is too big for gated yards and the lawnboy too small, lol, that is perfect. Best of luck

If you double the size of your busienss this year, I think you'll definately need to get another mower ... that 33" Craftsman may have gotten you through 10-15 yards a week, however, I seriously doubt it'll make it through 30 yards a week !! Although, when you get another machine you may want to keep the 33" mower to keep as backup and also for gated properties ... good luck.

Looks good! I wish I got to park inside lol, too much equipment to even think about getting a full size truck in there. I ended last year with like 14 accounts and now I think I'm up to 27 or so. Do good work and word will get around, thats what happened to me. Have a great season man!

Thanks everyone for the replys.
To be honest the mower is great for what i do but is simply underpowered. but for 1,100 out the door i couldnt complain. it fits absolutely everywhere and never had a problem getting it into any gates.
it has had a few problems with the trottle cable which broke last year and left me mower-less for a couple days, but other than that its been a typical craftsman

yeah thats what i was planning on doing after i see how the begining of the season goes. maybe a 36" Exmark or a Quick 36 depending on how business goes. i cant complain with the overhead now though so im going to be using the craftsman as long as i can

Thanks, same here but i ran into this one for sale at a krogers and it was perfect.. awesome price too. i used to bungee-cord everything on the mower and walk it to all my jobs:hammerhead:
hows that toro edger
can't really complain ive been using it for about 4 years and still starts on the first pull. it isnt commercial quality, and the weight proves it, but it gets the job done.
Hey, do you have a bagger for that craftsman? or do you just mulch/Side discharge?
i just side discharge. it has a multch plug but it just bogs down with it on. i guess they made a bagger kit for it but it was so poorly designed and worthless they stopped making them. wish i was mechanically inclined enough to build an attachment myself ;)
..and man i hate diet pepsi but the parents have a small obsession

Finally got my dream mower last week. I haven't found the time to post the pictures I took until now, but here they are. Everything was going great..until yesterday i was driving it home and the straps holding it gave in, it slid back and hit the back gate of my trailer.. the left brake lever broke so im back to using the 33" until the part comes in. I guess i learned my lesson but I definitely wasn't to happy about it. I hope it lasts me years to come..

Nice looking little rig, TL. I've got the Cub Cadet cousin to that Craftsman. Not a bad mower. I've had mine about a year and a half. The only difference between the two is that the Cub comes with electric start. My battery kept going dead for some reason, so I converted it to pull start and love it. No more key to mess with or battery to charge after sitting for a while. Just choke it, pull it, and mow!
New mower looks nice, too. Is that your motorcycle?

Thanks Tomber, yeah I always wanted that Cub I was pretty pissed when it came out a couple months after I bought mine. Its awesome to use though so darn easy

I actually didn't know Craftman made a walk behind like that. Nice looking machines. Is a 36" wb considered normal for that area?
TL Yardcare
05-27-2009, 08:11 PM
yep its actually a MTD and Cub Cadet has a version of it too.
36" is common but most people run lazer z 48's and 52's i just have a lot of gates and do all residentials for now so a 36" is perfect. do you guys go a lot bigger in kentucky?
