P.J. do you have any details on the redesign of the mini z? I have one and think it is an excellent mower. I am looking forward to the new one.

You will be very happy with the new one though, I can guarantee that.

I saw a picture of the z4 by doing a search, not a lot of details though. I check this thread a couple of times a day waiting for P.J. to give us all the info.

Still waiting on the final approval to release it to the public.
Dealers know about it already, they have a pre-order they can place for you, contact your dealer for information until I can post it here.

Sorry.. no more 44" model in our line up.
42 in the Super Duty FasTrak or you have 48 in the SD FasTrak, FasTrak or the new Z-4

We'll um I guess you could say no big departure from the current model, I was expecting to see the newer deck design, a lengthened and wider frame,but it does look the like the engine has better protection, and better deck size choices, nice mower! PJ will it hold an incline any better?

Lengthened and widened frame? that would be the current Hustler Z basically other than no 48" option in it.
From my experience on it so far, it holds a hill very nicely!!

I just wish the mini was ever so slightly longer and wider, to keep the front planted, the mini's really like to wheelie up

You will need to drive this new Z-4 and feel it out, it doesn't feel as light as the old Mini Z.

I'm curious as to why hustler didn't put the xr7 deck on it? isn't this the older deck design?

This deck is of the newer style FasTrak Super Duty decks, its a very nice deck and has proven itself for many years.

Can you please tell me what the differences between the old mini deck and these? I noticed you went with higher torq set up also

They are the same deck for the most part, the Z4 deck obviously in the new sizes we didn't have in the Mini Z, 48, 54 and 60 inch.
Yes the Z4 has the larger pumps and its a all Hydro Gear drive system.
