Has anyone heard about a field modification from Bobcat that makes cleaning and maintenance of the stacked radiators easier? I have heard that K series machines have the option to install a field mod that will allow the radiators to tilt up. A service tech told me he saw it and was going to get more information but I haven't heard anything. Anyone else hear about this? I imagine the new series of Bobcats will have a tilt up, CAT style radiator which is easier to clean.

I'll bet my third nut Bobcat's rads will look like Cat's, it's one of the best systems out there.

The CAT radiator clogs just as fast as the Bobcat and it is just as flimsy BUT it is 1000x easier to clean out!

It does not get any easier to clean and they are HD.

Deere's radiator is just as good as Cases,I think machines with the radiator in the back are less likely to burn to the ground because of a fire, Because the machine is still pulling air if grass or wood debris enters the engine compartment it gets sucked to the back of the machine vs pushed down to the engine by cats or bobcats fan on the radiator.I also think a non hyd. variable fan is better for brushcutting or grinding because there is more air moving all the time,so anything suck in gets pushed out.

Just like my ASV RC50 and all of their other machines. I wonder how much it costs to install an aftermarket automatic reversable fan? I notice that ASV offers one as standard on their PT100 Forestry machine. I think the hinged belly pans are a good idea for clean out too.

About $5000.00 for a Flexxaire installed.

Doesn't Bobcat's radiator system pull air toward the engine? I was under the impression that they did, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Cat's system pushes air away from the machine, up and out, but I don't think it stays any cleaner although Cat claims it will. The tilting feature of the radiator is the only way to go IMO, I can't imagine cleaning it without the ability to get underneath it.

Correct. I think the major issue with Bobcat's cooling system is the fact that the A/C condensor, oil cooler, and radiator are all stacked. This ends of being a major headache when it comes to cooling and cleaning. I also hate how you have to line up the tabs to get all of them stacked back on tope of each other when you finally get it clean.
