Hey guys, got really torn between these two. We're doing a narrow (2 ft) winding pathway inside a flower bed with a round sitting area in the middle (about 8ft in diameter). We find that arbel got a bit more small parts in the pattern while portage is large slab all through. Also the mega arbel is twice as thick as the portage. Not sure if it's worth it in a flower bed, which doesn't take as much weight as the driveway. But in terms of look, which one would look better in this project?

I'd go Portage if its just a flower bed. The Mega Arbel would look better in a patio setting. But, you cant go wrong with either.

Is the pathway a solid path or like stepping stones?

Correct, Techo doesn't have a Arbel-like product. Go for portage if the stones are seperate, do Arbel if its a running pathway.

Haven't seen it in their 09 cataloque, any more pics of it in separate pieces. What is the nomnal thickness, what colors does it come in? How expensive is it.

This isn't the Mega Arbel, but here we just did a small job using the regular Arbel.

why so shiny?

It looks shiny because it was just wet down before the picture was taken.

Zedo,
Below is the same picture with the pieces outlined. It's not in the '09 catalogue because we just released it. It is in the new '09 Techo-Spec book. If you'd like, I can mail you a copy. The thickness is 80mm (3 1/8") It comes in Sandlewood, Mojave Beige, Champlain Grey, Harvest Gold, Chestnut Brown, and Oceana. Check with your local dealer for pricing. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
