Hey man, don't worry about all these guys, if it fits your needs thats awesome. As far is the price is concerned, sounds fair to me.

I really want to know where everyone on here buys their trucks, because you can't touch a solid 3/4 ton here for under $15k unless you're willing to settle for 100k+ miles on it. Not many trucks on the market around here though, good ones disappear within a couple days. :hammerhead:

The only drawback I would agree with is the 2wd, especially given where you're located. But hey, at the very least, it will get you through the summer if you don't want to deal with it in the snow.

Good luck with it, my buddy has a Colorado and he loves it.

this past winter we only got like 6'' of dnow at one time and that was it and they plow the roads right away so its no problem

i use my bed to dump everything in after a clean and i usually have to empty it everyday and i have an F250. then there is no room for my blowers and gas cans and other things. thats why iam getting a trimmer and rack and blower rack.

also my rother did the same thing bought a little 2002 dakota, then grew out of it in under a year. and his had the v8 with 4x4, i suspect you'll be wanting/needing a bigger truck fairly soon.

I do believe you just proved my point...the overwhelming majority of them have 100kmi+, are 2WD or are 500+ miles away.

THEGOLDPRO

yes but their are a ton of real nice ones with 50k or under 4x4 and in amazing shape. their were over 3k trucks listed there for under 11k.

Good start man....dont worry that truck will pull that trailer fine...personally i never shift it into overdrive when I am towing so that might be something to think about if you tow alot on the highway...there should be a button on the shifter to turn overdrive off...that is what I would do but thats just my opinion and we all know that everyone has them so just take it or leave...but once again great start and good luck!

Truck looks nice! I have a GMC Sonoma reg cab short bed 2wd that I'm working out of for now... until I can get a 3/4 ton. Have fun driving! BTW I'm working on my Eagle Project as well, still in the planning stages but hope to finish it this summer. Good work!

I would have to say those wheels on it are awful, but being a work truck don't matter

I have a 2002 2 wd. F-150 (I purchased it New). I now have about 40,000 mile on it. Runs great and it has a 6 cylinder engine that gets about 17mpg city. I don't have to worry about keeping up on the ware a tear 4 wheel drives have. When it is time to expand my business I can see the need for a 3/4 ton truck. I think you can find one out here for around $5 grand that would work.

Good looking truck. If thats all you need, more power to yah!

The rims are a little much for me though.

Im already wanting to upgrade what i though was a more than large enough truck at the time, my F-150.

Alright guys, lets stop giving him a hard time for picking a small truck. If it works for him- THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!

Sure, most of us have 1/2, 3/4 or even 1 ton trucks, but know what, we're also all getting 8-12 MPG (gassers), he's probably pushing 20 cruising!

I'm sure eventually he'll want to move up to a 1/2 or 3/4 ton, but if it works for him for now and the price struck him okay, that's all that matters.

Nice first truck mine was an old toyota with 281,000 miles on it, you have the rest of your life to upgrade, so don't worry about what some of the others guys are saying, and always be proud of what you got!
