After about three weeks wait, I finally got my new 48" FT SD... have not used it yet, ground too soft/wet. I decided to go with the Accelerator grass catcher, very easy to put on and remove, but a bit on the heavy side - for this Oldfella anyway... most likely I'll have to fill it half way in order to be able to lift and empty it. I noticed that the control handles are too tight when placed in the braking position, is there any thing I can do to correct this? Thanks.

Congrats on the new ride!! welcome to the Hustler family!!!
They go in tight due to engaging the parking brakes.
Also it may be a little tight until you have used it for a couple hours to break it in.
I wouldn't make any adjustments until you have a few hours on the mower to allow break in.

congrats on the new SD! I too just took delivery of a new fastrack superduty 54" with the Kaw 25. A piece of tape on it stated it was the 1st one in that configuration?? but I'm curious about the bagger and how it performs once you've mowed with it for a while...

I've just finished mowing, but without the catcher - my grass was a bit high and I wanted to get it over with. It did a superb job with the Gator blades; chopped up and dispersed the grass clippings without leaving a "trail". The "Accelerator" catcher is ideal for me, as I some times like to do a fast job; it takes about one second to take it off or reinstall it, and I have an unobstructed view of the back and sides of the mower. I'll let you all know how it works out when I use the catcher.

The Accelerator grass catcher worked fine, just a bit heavy for this Oldfella. The gator blades did an excellent job packing the clippings in the bagger, without front blow out - actually, I see no need to stagger the various types of blades; no need to install a high-lift at the catcher side for good push-&-pack effect. I recommend this catcher for younger, stronger folks (younger than 91). What I did do, and recommend - to prevent hitting objects with the catcher and lessen the cutting time, is making couple of pases around the property making left tuns - this will also give you mower turning radius space. Have fun, I do.
