but by the time you add shipping. you will pay the same for buying them at your local shop. at least here in Nashville.

True, because of the weight.

watch running "cheap" blades i got some a few years ago and they were junk, they wouldnt hold an edge and they chipped real easy, ive talked to a few local guys that tried cheap blades and they all had the same problems, one even had a blade crack on him were the hole for the bolt is.

What kind of mower makes a lot of difference. I have an AG Supply that sells Oregon(Everything belts, blades etc.) I can go there and buy blades for my 61 Scag TT for 6.89 a piece. Blades for our hustler walk behind though are only available at the dealer for 30.+ a blade.

So are you guys saying the blades at Mowpart.com are cheap and not worth buying.. Blades for my machine on their site are $10 something a piece.. I just called my dealer and they told me $75 for all 3 so thats $25 a blade. Is there really a big difference between the blades on Mowpart and what my dealer would carry for a higher price???

No. They are decent blades, as a matter of fact, I beieve they are Oregons. The blades from Texasmowerparts are Oregons, as well. I've gotten an occasional blade from JThomas AND a dealer that was whopped out a bit, too. It does happen,...regardless of what and where you buy.

Just ordered a set from Mowpart and they were $8 something a blade and i only paid $6 shipping so i dont think my local dealer could be $10 a blade. Hopefully there good quality and hold up in the long run!!!
