I'd like to try the Mamba High Lift Mulch blades. I have a Toro Z-Master 283L. Will these blades (3" wide) fit the mower or will I have to remove the part that wraps around the existing blade when mounted ?

Just in case anyone else wonders.
Yes you can.
They are different than other MAMBA blades because of how TORO mounts the blade. (I have no experience with other mowers. That's what I was told.) Normally a MAMBA blade is 3 inches wide, these are 2-1/2" so they should be no trouble to mount. They are a thicker blade. I hoping this translates into holding an edge longer and lasting longer. I had a set of TORO's, ATOMIC gator blades and I bent one pretty bad on something.
At $18.00 per blade I thought the cost was excellent. Probably can't post the vendor here so if you want PM me and I'll send info.

Updating the thread in case anybody tries these blades.
They do cut well with a good lift and even cut. I am not getting as much mulching as I'd like out of them but my deck is not set up for it.
I only have about 10 hours on them so not much usage yet. Too soon to tell how long the edge will last.
